Epilepsy / seizure disorder / epilepsy stimulation therapy
Active skin infection, flare-up, rash, open wound / Active shingles
Serious active Disease / Active inflammatory process accompanied by fever
PHYSICIAN CLEARANCE REQUIRED:
Kidney disease
Solitary kidney
Bypass surgery
Adrenal dysfunction
Atherosclerosis / blood circulation problems
Hypertension (untreated)
Thrombosis / thrombophlebitis / blood clotting disorder /hemophilia
Arrhythmia
Abdominal / inguinal hernia
Progressive muscular dystrophy
Cancer remission
Fibromyalgia
Hormone pellet implantation – Less than 2 weeks post procedure
Recent Copper IUD implantation – Less than 1 mo post procedure
Capsule endoscopy – wait until capsule passes
Parkinson’s disease
Recent surgery (includes cosmetic surgery)
Electronic Implanted medical devices that require clearance from BOTH the physician/surgeon who implanted device, and from manufacturer:
– lower esophageal stimulation
– vagal blocking therapy
– implantable drug delivery system (micropump, actuator, valve)
– peripheral nerve stimulation
– Parkinson’s/dystonia electrical stimulation
– pain relief/pain management stimulation (occipital nerve stimulation)
– bladder stimulator
– sleep apnea implant
– cochlear implant
– back pain stimulator
– continuous glucose monitor (CGM) / glucose biosensor
